Rolleston Football Club
News - Summer 2005
As you read this another season has drawn to a close. It has been a fantastic season, with 9 teams competing in the Burton junior League, a group of youngsters training for next season and the club receiving a Fair Play Award. The players and managers will be taking a few weeks of well deserved rest before the preparations for the next season begin.
We would like to thank the Parish Council, Rolleston Club and Rolleston Scout Group for their support. The Parish Council has been a tremendous support to us; they allow us to use Craythorne Fields as our home ground and also for training. The success of the drainage work has meant that we have not had to cancel games. However, like the Parish Council, we do have problems with regard to dog fouling. It is a cause for concern especially when children, not just footballers, play/train. This problem was highlighted when a dog owner allowed his dog to run amongst a group of boys training and then let it foul the Manager’s kit bag.
