Winter 2003 News
The children who have started Pre-school and the playgroup in September have made a fantastic start. They are all busy making new friends, having fun, as well as learning lots too! Also starting in September were two new staff members Mrs Calder and Mrs Fritchley, a warm welcome to them both.
After a successful year’s fund raising, raising a wonderful total of around £2000, we have been able to purchase a new computer table and lots of new toys. Also new kitchen facilities are soon to be fitted at Pre school; we hope you have all noticed the fantastic new Pre-school sign too!
Many members of the committee retired in September as their children moved up to John of Rolleston Primary School, a big thank you to them and all the contributions they have made over the years. A special mention should be made of Helen Hunt who retired from her position as Pre-school Chairperson, your help and dedication has been greatly appreciated. Helen hasn’t gone far though as she is now our vice chair! We would like to welcome Mandy Hutson as our new Chairperson.
Please come along and support this year’s fund raising events, which include a Toy Sale at the end of November, Pre-school Nativity and the Pre-school and Toddlers Christmas parties. For those of you who have enjoyed our Chocolate Bingo in the past, we are planning to host this event early in 2004.
