Old Photographs of Rolleston 2
I am grateful to Mrs Marion Farr (nee Slack) who sent me these photographs of the Spread Eagle taken by her father in 1932-33. Her parents Leslie and Gladys moved to Rolleston in October, 1932 from Nottingham, when her father took up the post as Assistant Manager of a Britannic Assurance office at Burton, renting Spread Eagle Cottage, which then had its own front door. Those familiar with the Spread today will notice the changes.
