Linda Trudgeon from Gloucester, Australia made contact via Rolleston Club in November 2013 to say she was writing her life story and would like any information about The Lodge and The Hall and enclosed copies of some photos that might be of interest (reproduced here). Her two sisters and brother were born at The Lodge and herself at Granthem. Her parents lived at Rolleston Lodge from the 1920s to 1937. They were Gertrude Helen and Stanley Horatio Smith known as Nellie and Stan. Her father built a tennis court and they had regular tennis parties. She has a letter from her mother relating to a narrow escape from a man called Arthur Rouse who was hanged for murder.
