Demolition of Educational Facilities

Demolition work started in mid September 2002 at the former college campus in Station Road. For those old enough to remember the picture shows what was the main hall of the Forest of Needwood High School. Who could have imagined all those years ago as we sat there in assembly such a scenario! Ironically at the same time construction work began on the replacement sports hall at Shobnall!

The pictures below show the progress (if that's the right word) so far. They, along with the many photos and film taken of the event by others (including the Gee twins - do you remember them?), will provide a poignant reminder.
