The club members are now starting on their autumn programme gladly after rather damp outdoor summer visits to various venues about Burton for some sketching and painting practice. The programme includes a workshop in oil painting by Charles Evans, some short talks on perspective and the usage of complementary colours to help some of the newer club members. The club has a Christmas Exhibition at the Brewhouse from 17th November until 15th December so all will be kept busy. For more information about our activities please contact on 812184.
Newsletter - Summer 2007
The club members are now exhibiting at the Brewhouse (June 3rd to 23rd). This summer exhibition will be the first club exhibition since Christmas 2005 due to the Brewhouse fire. It has been eagerly awaited. The members have enjoyed two demonstrations: Jean Parkinson from the Priory painting group on water colour painting and by Christine Adams on painting flowers. June and July mean that the club forsakes its indoor meeting place and members go outdoors for painting and sketching. A programme has been arranged so that members meet up at about 7pm and then concludes at our usual 'watering hole' back in Stretton. Venues this year include Branston Water Park and Rosliston Forestry Centre. For further information of the club's activities and programme please contact on 812184.

The second is the Biennial Exhibition of Arts and Crafts to be held in the redecorated Brewhouse Bar Area from 31st March and finally there will be the Art Club's own exhibition at the Brewhouse from 2nd June. The club still meets at the Stretton Methodist Church schoolroom on Monday evenings at 7pm. For more information please please contact Bob Smedley on 512206 or on 812184.
